Neil Allen is an independent consultant with over 20 years experience in the leisure industry in both the public and private sectors, including 10 years at director level with two of the leading industry practices, Strategic Leisure and PMP.
Neil now operates as an independent consultant through his own company, Neil Allen Associates (NAA). NAA and Pozzoni LLP have developed a joint-working relationship, which brings Neil’s softer skills and experience alongside the harder skills of Pozzoni LLP to deliver rounded design and development solutions, which are driven by sports development needs and long-term sustainability.
Neil is a member of the Institute of Sport, Parks and Leisure (MISPAL), A Green Flag Awards Assessor and CABE Space Advisor. Previous to his 10 years in consultancy Neil worked for Sport England at national level; helping to establish the Lottery Sports fund and developing much of the early technical design and management material, he has also worked as a Best Value inspector on behalf of the Audit Commission.
As Board Director at PMP Neil was responsible for establishing the company’s northern office and leading the consulting team. His specialist areas include strategic facility planning, sports development and monitoring, funding and procurement, business planning, trust management, PPG17, open space and playing pitch strategy reviews.
